Rotary Club of Pakenham serving the
Community with action.
Rotary Park Shelter.
As part of the Clubs Celebrations for the
100 years of Rotary a suitable Shelter and BBQ is under construction at our
Rotary Park situated on the Toomuc Valley Creek Princes Highway.
Books for PNG
The Interact Club with the help of the
Pakenham Club sent a 20 ft container of school books to PNG through the
Rotary Club of Huon Gulf in December 2004 and were most enthusiastically
received.
White Elephant Clearing Sale

A popular annual event commenced in 1964 now boasts over 2000
people attending to purchase and trade goods of all sorts and variety.
Most goods are donated to Rotary who sell them making 100%
profit.
Vendors offer their goods for sale for which Rotary charges a
booking fee and commission on sale.
A total Club commitment where both members and partners give up
their whole day and unwind at a barbecue afterwards.
A true fellowship day is had by all.
Debutante Ball
Started in 1989 for the students of Pakenham High School, this
has now grown to the Premier Ball of the area where two functions have to be run to cater
for the girls wanting to make their Debut.
Public Speaking Competition.
First held in 1998 with the Primary Schools located in the
Pakenham area.
This function now embraces all Primary Schools in the Shire of
Cardinia and is a most rewarding exercise to all that participate.
Rotary Park
The Toomuc Creek on the Princes Highway is being transformed
into a Rotary Park to be used for recreational purposes.
Two suspended bridges have already been constructed which allows
access to the New Pakenham Recreational Football ground.
A metal track has been established along the creek south to the
railway line and a second bridge at the south end has also been constructed to complete a
circuit back to the highway. The Shire of Cardinia has officially declared this
area as "Rotary Park" with suitable signage.
A Shelter Shed with BBQ facilities has been constructed
and was officially opened as part of the Celebrations for the 100 years of
Rotary.
